What we are

PickUpTrashWithMe is a free, volunteer-run platform that helps neighbors in New York City find, organize, and RSVP to community trash cleanups. We provide the tools and the map; the cleanups themselves are organized and run by community members, not by us.

Using the site

• Provide accurate information when you schedule or RSVP to a cleanup.
• Only submit cleanups you genuinely intend to organize, and don't post spam, false, offensive, or unlawful content.
• Follow all local laws. Cleanups are intended for public streets and sidewalks — not private property, parks, or beaches without proper permission.

Approvals and content

Cleanups you submit are reviewed before they appear on the map. We may approve, decline, edit, or cancel any listing at our discretion, and we may remove content that violates these terms. Cleanup listings you submit (title, date, time, block, description, and organizer name) are shown publicly on the map.

Safety and your own risk

Participating in a cleanup is voluntary and done at your own risk. Please read our Safety Guidelines before you take part. We do not supervise cleanups and are not responsible for the actions of organizers or participants.

No warranties

The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that any cleanup will happen, that information is accurate, or that the site will always be available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PickUpTrashWithMe and its organizers are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the site or your participation in any cleanup.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date will change when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
